What is Colocation and how can it benefit me?

No longer are you restricted by your provider as to what operating system and software you can run, where you put your files, how you run DNS or email, etc. With colocation, you provide your own admin, hardware and software, and we provide the Power, Space, and Connectivity to connect your server/equipment to the world. Capital Internet offers several basic services in addition to Power, Space, and Connectivity, such as DNS service, email service, tape rotation, offsite storage, port filtering, etc. Capital Internet also provides professional services at a reasonable hourly rate to assist you with any technical needs that you might encounter.

Can I bring in towers, or do you only allow rack-mounted equipment at your facility?

At Capital Internet, we accept any size server, regardless of whether the form factor is rack-mounted or a full size tower.

Can I always use the full throughput of my access without additional charges?

Absolutely! From our redundant OC48 connection, we will give you a Committed Access Rate (CAR) of whatever amount you subscribe to (i.e. if you sign up for a 3Mbps line, you receive a full 3Mbps for your own use), so transfer as much data off YOUR ACCESS LINE as you want.

How difficult would it be to upgrade my colocation plan?

You can upgrade your colocation account to reflect more space, bandwidth or IP addresses at any time. Our upgrade procedure is very simple and can be processed within 24 hours of receiving your request, with the upgrade often being completed within 2 hours. What are the directions to the data center?

From I-285, take the Roswell Rd exit (Exit #25) north. Cross over Hammond Dr. and turn left at the next light onto Sandy Springs Pl (look for the Dunkin Donuts). After 1 block turn right at the stop sign. Turn into the parking lot that says "The Capital Companies". Building 200 in located on the right.
