AGL Networks and Netstream Communications Add Data Center to Fiber Network
Atlanta, Georgia, April 1, 2009 — AGL Networks announced today the completion of the company’s dark fiber footprint into a new data center located at 470 E. Paces Ferry Road, Atlanta, GA, on behalf of its customer: Atlanta-based NetStream Communications.
“We specialize in providing cost-effective solutions to our clients,” said Jim Gillis, president, AGL Networks. “NetStream has been a loyal customer for the past 5 years and we are delighted to aid them in expanding their Atlanta operation.”
"We are pleased to partner with AGL Networks with the extension of their dark fiber network into our second Atlanta data center," said Michael Jordan, CEO, NetStream Communications, LLC. "The flexibility of having two data centers served on a diverse fiber ring places us in a unique position to provide economical collocation solutions for our clients to mirror their servers at our two locations. Our 9,000 square foot expansion at our original Sandy Springs location along with this 20,000 square foot space at 470 E. Paces Ferry Road was made much easier with AGL’s fiber network and the answer to our connectivity concerns."
The benefits of leasing capacity from AGL Networks include the ease and ability to increase bandwidth on demand, complete route diversity from other providers, enhanced network security with an all underground network, flexibility in applications provided by dark fiber, and a reduction in overall telecommunication costs.
AGL Networks Atlanta footprint is over 416 route miles, and has 180 buildings on-net. For more information about AGL Networks, visit our website at www.aglnetworks.com
