Capital Internet was established in 1999 by
Capital Investment Advisors, Inc. (CIA), an investment firm with nearly one billion dollars under management. The Web exploded on the scene in 1999 and CIA wanted to setup a server farm to facilitate transactions within its financial supply chain. At that time, however, there were few Atlanta colocation facilities. Thus, CIA established one of the very first Internet Data Centers in Georgia offering server collocation services to businesses – Capital Internet.
In 2008, Capital Internet was acquired by
NetStream Communications, a firm that provides Metro Ethernet business solutions in Georgia. Combined with NetStream, Capital Internet offered customers even greater value.
From the beginning, Capital Internet was a place where individuals and small businesses could rapidly colocate one or more servers with flexible and affordable service plans. Twelve years later, Capital Internet still offers small businesses the most economical solution for colocation data center services in Atlanta, as well as cloud servers and dedicated servers.
